Management Center
Service Providers are identifying new ways to increase revenues while minimizing capital expenses. They are focusing on the introduction of new value added services and/or service bundles to their customer base while minimizing the costs of implementation, deployment and support through the service lifecycle.
A crucial element to efficiently implementing new services is the integration of any required Network Elements and/or Network Element Management systems with the Service Provider's legacy Operations, Administration, Maintenance, Provisioning and Billing (OAM&P) infrastructure. This is further exacerbated in a multi-service, multi-vendor environment. |

ServiceSPAN's Management Center supports a Network Element Vendor's compliance with a Service Provider's requirements for mission-critical OAM&P capabilities. The Management Center provides low cost integration of new Network Elements and legacy service provider operations systems--with minimal customization.
Benifits:
Compliance to Service Provider requirements. MC addresses both the stated and unstated operational requirements - a distinct competitive advantage for the Network Element Vendors. |
Faster lab evaluation and deployment of Network Elements. MC minimizes the need for customization of the the Network Elements |
Reduction in total cost of ownership for Service Providers. MC eliminates the internal costs for Service Providers to adapt to legacy systems. |
Features:
Management Center consists of the following suite of applications:

Billing Manager
Collects and formats call detail records (CDRs) and event detail records (EDRs) from Network Elements in their native formats and provides seamless integration of the new Network Element into legacy Billing environments and to other upstream OSSs - eliminating the need for customization of the Network Elements |
Provisioning Manager |
Supports the automated service activation of subscriber services
Provides provisioning transparency for both the Service Provider and Network Element vendor
Activates and manages services via manual entry, self-provisioning, network element GUI or TUI, service orders, and API emulation |
Care Manager |
Provides access/mediation point to Network Elements for information used by legacy care systems
Delivers all the tools required to implement a self-sufficient care center for a specific service
Alarm Manager |
Receives alarms in native Network Element formats, translates them into required format for legacy network operations center systems and transmits alarms to legacy support systems
Administration Manager |
Provides connectivity and interoperability between legacy terminals such as making the Network Element administration GUI available in telnet format over RS-232 serial ports
Facilitates central alarming, traffic statistics reporting and other reporting functions
Acts as a single management point for Network Elements patches, interim software releases, and generic software releases
Traffic and Capacity Manager |
Utilizes event detail records from Network Elements to generate traffic data required in response to polling by legacy Traffic Reporting systems for most recent traffic data
Reports Manager |
Provides a single source for generation of summary and detailed reports leveraging data elements from all connected Network Elements and OSSs |
